A: Online Giving by QuanComm is an application toolset that enables any organization to receive online gifts and payments from its customers and members using secure internet technology.
Q: How does Online Giving work?
A: You’ll designate which funds and activities you want to make available for Online Giving. A link is added to your website that your parishioners will use to set up an Online Giving account and manage their online gifts and payments. They’ll receive an email confirmation from us, and you’ll receive the funds deposited directly into your bank account.
Q: Is Online Giving secure?
A: Online Giving by QuanComm is completely safe and secure! QuanComm’s processing systems are certified as Level 1 PCI-compliant and undergo annual SAS70 audits. All data is encrypted and transmitted using secure HTTPS and SSL connections.
Q: What kinds of payments and gifts can be made?
A: Online Giving supports one-time payments – both scheduled and real-time – as well as recurring payments. It accepts checking and savings accounts (ACH) as well as Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express
Q: Do we need merchant agreements to accept credit cards?
A: Yes, you do need merchant agreements to accept credit cards. QuanComm can help you with this process. If you are already using EFT by QuanComm, you may be able to use your existing merchant agreement for Online Giving.
Q: Who controls the payments?
A: Your parishioners have complete control over the payments and can stop or change them as needed. They can also change the payment method used for scheduled payments.
Q: Is Online Giving integrated with PDS?
A: Yes, Online Giving is integrated with PDS. Periodically – usually weekly or monthly – you will import a file into PDS. Your Online Giving payments will be matched up to each family record and posted in a few simple steps.
Q: How are the payments matched to the family record?
A: When parishioners set up their Online Giving accounts, they are asked to provide their family ID or envelope number. This enables PDS to match the online gifts with each family record.
Q: Is Online Giving expensive?
A: Not at all! Our rates are very competitive. There is a one-time implementation fee of $100. For ACH, monthly fees are $10 with a per-item transaction fee of $.35. For credit cards, monthly fees are $12.50 with a per-item transaction fee of $.45 plus 2.75%. There is also a $30 annual fee for credit card processing.
