How Does Online Giving Work?

Online Giving is imbedded as a link on your organization’s website. When your consumer clicks on the Online Giving link, the Online Giving application will open in a new window. With Online Giving, your consumers can:

  • Register and log in to a Online Giving account
  • Add and change payment methods
  • Set up recurring or one-time payments
  • View and change scheduled payments
  • Review payment history


Your consumers’ data will be stored on our secure servers. You will have limited access to it since your consumers will be managing their payments directly. Using QConnect you’ll be able to view your consumers’ payment instructions and cancel payments if necessary. However you will not have access to consumer’s credit card or bank account information or the ability to change scheduled payments.


As Online Giving transactions are authorized and processed, response files are generated that contain the results: confirmations for authorized, settled transactions or decline reasons for rejected transactions. These response files are stored on our secure FTP servers. These files can be downloaded manually and imported into third-party software applications. Alternatively, we can work with your software vendor to automate this process.
